LLOE : advanced, concepts, new ideas

These days, without internet (thank you orange, my ISP), I progressed on my scene. A good shower also allowed me to reflect on the gameplay LLOE.

“The Room”
I start immediately with screenshots. So I made a brief baseboards, making the transition ground to walls more pleasant. Then, working in my scene, I had the idea to fill it with books even more than before. That’s why I created a stack of books with a prefab (see previous news for know what is a prefab). The idea of the candle is then arrived, although I hesitated with an oil lamp. Anyway I was able to test the particles. The flame of the candle is a particle and with a deformation texture. I also touched up the rays of the window to make it less repetitive and more transparent, but that does not please me more.





LLOE : Plan

This plan (warning, very large) and only sketch represents the universe will be playable in LLOE. Finally, it is primarily a research organization and flow. I try to inspire from the Tower of Babel (I think that this is evident), because it is a myth and an architecture that fascinates me. The tower of Babel is also a monument full of meaning and can lead to philosophical reflections. I hope that inspires me I got to translate what I want.



LLOE : Sophias

The Sophias are beings inhabiting LLOE, after I spoke in more detail. To make my illustration (left, not finish) I inspire me from the witches in the game The Void, you have at the right a concept art of one of them. I very like the graphic style of the artwork, I’m inspired, and with the brush that I could get photoshop for a little while searching the web, I can renderings not too bad. Of course, now is the background work, and I still have many hours to go before I have a correct rendering.



LLOE : Concepts and gameplay

    Type of the game :

LLOE is an rpg first-person.
The player can interact, collect items and solve puzzles. However, there is no fighting system. Only reflection.

    The souls :

The souls in LLOE are inconsistent forms, a kind of vertical blue clouds floating a few inches of the ground. Their voice and sex are indeterminate until a soul is not the price path of salvation or an end, impossible to determine its sex. The voice of the hero and of other souls is a disorganized voice from the grave and acute in the same sentence.
Every soul is attached to a Sophia.

    The Sophias :

There are no women or men in the kingdom. It is in fact sophias, entities who are born with the appearance of souls in the kingdom, and die with death of souls. These are the sophias low class. It follows the souls where they go. The sophias high class are free of their movement, they are those who govern. They cover the administration, decide how to run the kingdom.
More a Sophia is “free”, more she is naked. The sophias high class therefore are completely naked. Each sophia high class has a colorful tattoo on her belly and around the eyes. These tattoos, all unique, allowing both to identify the sophia and her function within the kingdom.
The sophias attendant (after souls) are fully covered, with a combination. This combination is divided into several parts, more the player (or soul) approaches the redemption accomplished, more his sophia is free and can remove clothing (only part by part). The Sophias are evidence of the way done by the soul. From a gameplay point of view, progressing through the adventure, and gaining experience points (or points redemption) the player is not intended to be evolving, but to change its sophia. This is not an object but rather a guarantee of his soul, the evidence and the judge because he has repented.

    The Death (the mower):

It’s a Sophia too, but she governs all the others and runs the kingdom. She proposes that a special contract with the player (see previous news). For the moment I have nothing particular to say, I still work this character.

    The foundry:

Here large molds and surgeons who create the sophia for the souls.
Not necessarily useful to mention here, is primarily an idea and a place that interests me with the possibility of various machinery.

    The kingdom :

The kingdom is the world after death. The entire game universe in which the player evolves. It is a difficult place to describe. I still do not have exact definition to define it. This is part of the philosophical and metaphysical questions that I need to study.
